What are Product Principles?
Product principles distill a product vision, set of ideas and philosophy for designing and developing a product unique to a company and its users. They act as a rubric or set of guidelines that inform team’s strategic decision making, rationale for making the best design decisions and how to break stalemates about the best course of action.
Who are product principles for?
Product principles are for anyone who influences, designs or builds the total product experience. They are to be used by the entire product organization or all teams that deliver ThoughtSpot’s customer experience.
How are they used?
Product principles are internalized by teams and become an internal compass for how to design and deliver the best product experience for ThoughtSpot users. They can be reviewed by teams in projects, referenced in making key product decisions or used to help break ties in choosing between different design options.
